Vitamin F's alter ego 'Clayton and Best'
http://www.claytonandbest.com have charted yet again making history a second
time. They have charted now in the prestigious Southern Gospel Music magazine
'Singing News' http://www.singingnews.com/
flying straight in at #41 fending off competition from some of Southern Gospel
music's big names.
This places VF in the history books once more as they are the first artists from
outside of the US ever to chart in the Singing News top 80.
'We praise God for this and as always we ask for His hand to be continually in
everything we do. How blessed we are!'
The guys are travelling to the National Quartet Convention in Louisville .
Kentucky to meet some of the industries movers and shakers as the September
edition of the Singing News coincides with what is Southern Gospel Music's
largest annual event. 'I can't wait to see their faces when they discover we are
English, they will either love us or not, but we'll find out soon!'
'We are hoping to chart at least in the top 40 with our follow up single 'Hear
Him roar'
Please pray for the guys as they continue their ministry in this radical and
unprecedented fashion.
Talk about WOW!!
20th January 2006
Whilst recording ‘We look to You’ and ‘Beyond the Cross’ in the States the guys
found out an astonishing piece of news. A copy of Christian Perspective Magazine
that they picked up to read contained, among other things, the National Southern
Gospel Chart in which Vitamin F ‘The Word (became the One)’ was charted at #60
in the top 100. Pretty good job they thought, but, it transpires that this is
the first time a UK band has entered the National Southern Gospel Chart. A first
for UK Christian music and a first brought home by Vitamin F. WOW!
The guys are also now trying to help other Christian Artists to realise their
ministries potential by setting up a Christian record label ‘Right Real Records’
in conjunction with The Vision Quest Music Group in the States. ‘The emphasis of
the label is to help out Christian Artists whose work and ministry styling does
not fit into a specific box, Artists who are Real people with Real faith.’ Watch
out for ‘Right Real Records’.
God TV? Vitamin F?
19th December, 2005
Vitamin have had an astounding invitation to discuss their ministry, music and
testimonies on the much respected TV Station 'GOD TV'.
This is being filmed 3 short weeks after the guys return home from the States
following the recording of 'We look to You' with The Vision Quest Music Group
headed by industry flyer Randy Stalls.
'It's an absolute honour and privilege to be invited onto God TV to discuss our
music and ministry, we never thought that our lives would move in such a way. In
little over two years we have written and recorded one album, written and demo'd
another and have two additional demos in the melting pot, but to arrive where we
are in such a short period of time leaves us thanking God with every breath. We
had never met in 2003 and yet the ministerial and songwriting partnership that
we have seems to equal that of industry stalwarts'.
The filming is scheduled for 6th February 2006 in the Stoke studios at 11.00am,
please try to tune in to God TV and support the guys as they continue to drive
forward Gods Kingdom.
We'll keep you updated on the outcome.
January also brings a stranger to these shores
30th November 2005
With SLM Records Artiste list growing and the success of the recent Vitamin F
videos, the Americans are about to invade.
Aaron Sidwell, singer songwriter from Wichita, KA, is travelling over to the UK
for a one week shoot of his music video 'Home' which is presently being re-mixed
in LA by industry high flyer Conley Abrams III of CCA3 Productions and Faith
Recording.
This is the first time Aaron has been out of the States and Vitamin F are taking
on chaperone duties as well as industry introductions. 'We don't think there'll
be much time for sight seeing on this trip, but maybe next time.'
January release
29th November 2005
World class musicians from Nashville and surrounding areas will feature on the shared venture, these may include Hargus 'Pig' Robbins and The Gaither Back up Singers. 'We are used to working with the best of the best having featured the talents of Pedro Eustache, God gifted wind instrument genius who featured on the 'Brother Bear' soundtrack with Phil Collins, Steven Spielberg's 'Munich' soundtrack, James Newton Howard's score for the Peter Jackson movie 'King Kong' [solo bamboo flute in the 'It's Beautiful' scene...] and 'The Passion of the Christ' soundtrack playing various world woodwind instruments. He also played Armenian woodwind solo on Sir Paul McCartney's song 'Jenny Wren' from the album 'Chaos And Creation In The Back Yard'. Pedro played soprano sax and flute on two tracks from 'nothing by comparison..'.
'We are really looking forward to working with new musicians and a new producer although we feel that the work CCA3 did on 'nothing by comparison..' was out of this world.'
The new single entitled 'We look to You' is scheduled for launch on the 2nd January 2006 so the pressure is on. This is the first of many demo tracks already cut and ready for selection onto the second album. 'It feels to good to know that 'nothing by comparison..', 'The Basement Recs' demo album and our new album will soon all be available on the shelves, all this in less than two years.'
Vitamin F about to release Music Video #2
28th November 2005
After the success of the 'Sometimes it Rains' music video Vitamin F have
returned to the studio, and location, to put together video #2.
After much deliberation and following the worldwide launch of their first single
track from 'nothing by comparison..' It was decided that a video follow up to
their much loved song 'The Word' would be the solid choice.
Once more working with the Rotherham Academy and Shimmer Media the guys worked
solidly on set for a week shooting over twelve hours of footage for the four and
a half minute video.
Through close liaison with the production team and editing crew over the
successive weeks the launch of 'The Word' is inevitable.
Mr Stan Gibson, CEO of SLM Records out of LA, CA, says, 'After the success
around the world of their debut album 'nothing by comparison..' The music video
of 'Sometimes it Rains' and the recent release and publicity drive of the single
track 'The Word' it is certain that Vitamin F are about to step up the game onto
the next level as musicians, songwriters and all round artists.'
Both the music videos are to be aired on the new 'large screen' in All Saints
Square Rotherham in the coming weeks. What an apt venue for an airing of
contemporary Christian music videos.
Easter will see the release of the music video 'Don't take down', the last of
the music videos to be taken from their debut album.
